Survive The Snail is a fitness-motivation game where your steps and walking/running distance help you stay ahead of a fictional snail. The more you move, the more distance you build. Slow down long enough, and the snail catches up.

You need to meet the minimum age requirement, create or sign into an account, choose a display name and username, enter your date of birth, height, weight, and daily step goal, then grant Motion and Fitness access on a supported device.

Date of birth is used for minimum age rules and age-sensitive advertising settings. Height helps estimate stride and distance, and weight helps estimate calories and effort. Motion and Fitness access is required for the main chase because the app needs supported pedometer activity to count steps and distance. These personal details stay private.

On supported devices, the app reads Motion and Fitness/pedometer data, calculates activity snapshots, and uploads those snapshots when you open or refresh the app. Steps, distance, calories, and chase outcomes depend on device sensors, permissions, refresh timing, estimates, and network availability, so they are not exact medical or scientific measurements.

Open the app and refresh activity. If notifications are enabled, you may get a reminder to open the app when today's activity needs an update.

Your current chase ends. You can start a new chase, use Restart Chase in Settings, or change your daily goal in Settings. Restarting resets your current lead and days survived, but lifetime totals stay unless you delete your account.

Other signed-in users may see your username, display name, profile photo, private-profile status, friend status, and limited profile identity. Depending on your settings and social relationship, they may also see chase summaries, activity stats, achievements, leaderboard entries, challenge participation, scores, events, and reactions.

Private Profile hides you from the global leaderboard and limits activity and chase details to friends. Your basic identity can still appear in search so people can send friend requests. Turn it on in Settings > Visibility > Private Profile.

No. Fitness and body data is not sold and is not used for advertising. The current app does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission or IDFA access. Free users may see Google AdMob banner ads, and the current app requests non-personalized ads.

You can search for people by name or username, send friend requests, and join invited challenges. Friends and challenge participants may see more relevant activity details than non-friends. You can block or report someone from that user's profile.

If enabled, notifications may include chase warnings, danger alerts, caught alerts, daily goal reminders, activity refresh reminders, temporary speed event alerts, and shop effect expiration reminders. You can turn categories off in Settings > Notifications or disable app notifications in your device settings.

Coins are virtual in-app currency used for shop items. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed outside the app. Where available, coin packs are purchased through the app store using RevenueCat for purchase handling and fulfillment. Refunds are handled by the app store or payment platform where you made the purchase, unless local law requires something different.

Not in the current version. We may offer an optional ad-free upgrade in the future, but there is no paid ad-removal offering today.

Go to Settings > Download My Data to create a machine-readable export. To delete your account, go to Edit Profile > Delete Account and confirm. Deletion is permanent and removes your account, profile, activity, chase, social, challenge, uploaded image, and related app data from active systems, though some processor, app-store, backup, legal, fraud-prevention, or accounting records may follow separate retention rules. No. Survive The Snail is an entertainment and fitness-motivation app, not medical advice or a medical device. Do not use the app while driving, crossing streets, entering dangerous areas, trespassing, or doing anything unsafe to gain steps. Real-world safety matters more than game progress.
